Also I’ve stripped it down at the stalk. Couldn’t see anything visible wrong

Also when the front left indicator bulb is removed it doesn’t cut out. But when the bulb is in place it cuts the engine via left indicator or hazards

It sounds as though you have the usual poor earth connection as well as lamp connection problems.
You really need to do a thorough clean up and inspection of the entire wiring around both headlights.
Common fault.
