Re: General Probe buying advice
i would like to say that the 2.5 V6 engine is the better engine in my opinion, and if you ask the majority of members would say the same,
I run 3 x 2.5 v6 and 3 x 2.0 16v, but engines are non interference, which is a big plus for the ford probe, and as Micron says parts con be sourced from Mazda dealerships.
and a bigger plus is that members from UKPOC go out of there way to help other members with parts and help when required

Re: General Probe buying advice
Don't know how relevant it will be now, as most cars are clocking the miles on, but earlier cars suffered from smoking caused by piston ring problems.

Pleasingly, I think I have covered these bits in the copy.
Micron, if you'd like to check to see what I've covered, drop me a message with your email and I'll fire it over tonight.

Re: General Probe buying advice
Great idea.Might give a few owners a boost too.
Mine is mpg for a v6 I think good.feels great to drive.pop up headlights.Electric lumbar support and the other one.
Re: General Probe buying advice
Ditto, so far everything is what to look out for, pitfalls, and danger areas
Can’t deny they don’t exist obviously, neither would we, but are is there to be any balance with some positives
Hate to think we’re adding to another Probe bashing....

Re: General Probe buying advice
Positive things like:
Easy to change bulbs including headlight bulbs (not like a lot of modern cars and no dealer or special types either)
Easy to check and top up fluids etc (on 16v anyway)
I know these things may seem "petty" to some people but it makes them easier to maintain I reckon?
Easy to drive and relatively comfortable seats
Huge luggage area especially when either or both rear seats which are easily folded down
I'm sure the list goes on......
