Greetings all, MOT scrape through yet again on emissions and the CO wouldn't go below .06. The tester said the ECU is doing its job but the catalytic converter should get it down to below .03.
I'm needing a new cat, 1997 late 24v, can someone remind me of the size and possibly where to source one? I'm sure one of the Mazda family share the same cat
The car has always smelt rich, yet other than injectors, plugs, leads and dizzy cap being in good condition, what else can you do to weaken off the mixture?
TIA
Neil

440mm long, with both flanges the same size.
Old good OME, can be better than a cheap aftermarket one.

Try pulling the trouble codes, the O2 sensor may have gone "bad".

Thanks kit and andy, I was thinking of buying a new one and maybe de-catting and refitting it for MOT time. I have a pair of new 02 sensors here thanks andy
