I have moved your post to the Garage.
This has been debated a lot in the past on here and on Facebook, some swear by E5, but not always because of the pipes issue, more around performance. I run E10 in my car, have no intention of changing the rubber pipes, plus I don't believe that we need to.
Lets see what others think?

I personally use e5, im sure it could run on e10, but for the sake of a few pennies I would prefer the better performance and peace of mind.

Where do you guys get E5. There aren't any garages in NI that I can find selling it. Notices up everywhere saying no longer for sale

On the mainland shall we say, there is normally 1 or 2 pumps that have E5, depending on the size of the actual garage, but knowing which one it is when you arrive at the garage is another thing, especially if it’s a garage you don’t know.

I use E5 in most of the probe's, especially since I store them for 6 months, I do use E10 in MrP but every now and again I fill it up with E5,
I believe that we can use E10 in the ford probes while running them, but I believe it store them with E5 causes the issue.

E5 cleaned up my fuel system very nicely after I bought the car. Judging by the poor maintenece everywhere else, the previous owner would have been using supermarket fuel. The car had an irratic tickover and low power at tickover causing stalls. One dose of fuel treatment and E5, slowly over about 2 months steadied the tickover and stopped the stalls so its E5 for me because of that issue. I dont see anything other than a marginal benefit in mileage. Downside is the cost but what the Flying Machine wants, the Flying machine gets.
