ABS Pump/Module

Post by Maria McG » Thu Oct 20, 2022 6:01 pm

Hi all,
I'm still struggling to get my 97 v6 probe back on the road!
Down to the ABS light now I think.
Have replaced a rear sensor but still getting fault codes for rear sensor, module and relay.
Surely they can't all be faulty?
Any ideas?
My mechanic has the abs pump off at the minute but we're just clutching at straws really!
Anybody have a pump, module and relay I could buy?
Thanks,
Maria.

Pics below of the pump and the car in better days!

Tried removing the battery terminal and pressing the brake. Should that clear the codes?

My mechanic / brother in law pulled the codes and I can't remember the numbers but it was rear passenger sensor (which we have replaced), relay and module I think.
We're finding it very difficult to find anybody that knows anything about working with the probe here in NI!
Would it be likely that all these parts have failed or what would you suggest we try next?
I've had the car since 2003 but it's been off the road since about 2009.

Personally, I would look at the module next, because as you say it's very unlikely that everything has failed. I replaced a sensor and a module on the MX6 that I had to cure my numerous codes that I had.

Hi folks,
I got an ABS pump and module from Andy P from a '95 24v.
Mine is a '97 24v and the pump is different - see photo.
Can we make it work?
Is the module likely to be different too?
Thanks,
Maria.
