Engine ticks over but will not start. Have been advised it may be the immobiliser. After finding it I have discovered someone else has already cut some of the wires. Is this fixable? Will attach some images of what has been done.

When you say it ticks over, do you mean it turns over, but does not start? Do you know if you have a spark at the plugs?
You have a couple of options, firstly check the black wires that have hopefully been joined securely and still make good electrical contact. Secondly, if there is no spark, I would suspect that the distributor has failed.
Where are you based, as someone local may be able to help?
thanks

I’m in Yeovil, Somerset. Yeah the engine turns over but will not start. I’m unable to check anything now as I’m out work but will look this evening.

If you have a spare plug, just take off a lead and try that plug, it will save you having to take one out.

Best £10 of anybodies money,
I'm banking on it been the dizzy, unless one of the wires hasn't been correctly connected and has come loose

Was hoping it wouldn’t be. How hard of a fix will that be?
