I think I that an overall visual wouldn't go a miss just in case there is anything obvious

Right ok, Jack up and wheel off over the weekend then, in the meantime I've doused the top strut with WD

With the wheel off, WD40 high up on the u/side of the top Mount as we :idea:

For waht it's worth my money is on CV joint. Been there.

Very little out of work time so far, but did douse the top of the strut with WD. Played about on the road outside just now. Noise still there. Seems to only occur at very low manoeuvring speed turning right , does that throw up anymore clues ? Anti roll pin intact , not had time to check spring. I've a driveshaft in watching ready to buy, not sure on strut top bearing , could I have an ebay link to the correct part please. 8-)

Low speed whilst turning is typical of CV joint. Cheapest I can find on Ebay - 203307633209 Says it is for a 16v - not sure if 24v is the same. :?:

Nop, the 24v is a big size shaft
