Washer fluid warning light

Post by Eddie » Mon May 31, 2021 7:05 pm

Evening all :)

Can anyone tell me if the washer fluid warning light relates to both front and rear, or just the front please?

My car has been sat for an eternity. I’ve just tested the wash wipe prior to an MOT attempt, but the warning light came on. I filled the washer reservoirs up front and back but the light is still on. I’m guessing the sensor got stuck when the fluid dropped. I just want to know if it’s definitely the front tank I need to concentrate on.

TIA

I think it more lightly to be the front washer motor sensor.
It happen on mine, I removed the unit and give it a god wash, and refitting it, work on since.
Not one of the easiest jobs,
Drivers side front wheel off, then remove the plastic lining to get to the wash bottle, hopefully while removing the wash bottle none of the both snap, then remove the motor unit, give it a good wah and a shake (a few times) note to shelf, try it out before out to g everything back together

Just the front tank.
Located behind the O/s bumper, need to take off the under wing splash inner

Ok - thank you :)
Now I wish I’d sorted it while I was un-seizing the offside front brake calliper this afternoon!
