			Hi my ford probe keep popping n banging between 1.5k to 3k I have changed the fuel filter and dizzy cap n rotor

			When you changed the leads, did you notice any oil in the plug wells?  Also have you changed the plugs recently?
Have you pulled the codes to see if that would give us any clues?

			I  would suspect at that rev range it could well be your dissy thats knackered
as said 16v/24v and has it a key fob and the immobiliser been bypassed,if its
blown the back box out has the car been stored a while 

Any smoke on start up

Did you check for fault codes recently by using a diode and strap in the diagnostic plug

All probes are OBD1, are you familiar with the process
