Wow
Not worked out how to reply individuallybut, thanks for all the help everyone.
Yes, the car is the one that was recently on ebay. I took delivery of it (unseen) this morning and was pleasantly surprised. It's neglected and dirty but is complete, everything seems to work and it drives better than I remember my last one doing when it was a year old. Plan is to improve it whilst keeping it original so i'll make a start with the parts recommended
A few Issues
Re: A few Issues
Yes, that's the one
Bought unseen and turned up yesterday.
I'm pleasantly surprised so far (until I take off the side mouldings and the sills fall off!)
Plan is to keep it original and improve it's condition
Re: A few Issues
You have bought a winner there , well done.
That rear caliper will need replacing but not an expensive or difficult job.
Make sure the antifreeze is the right stuff , hate to say it but the Ford stuff is best , buy on ebay though.
DO NOT WORRY about changing cambelt , even if it hasn't been changed.
The Japanese originals are good for 120,000miles plus, they are the very best .
Regular Oil+filter changes are necessary, 6000max!
Beautiful car , enjoy it.

Re: A few Issues
That was he good news.
The next few items will happen, nothing to worry about , just be prepared.
IF new front springs haven't been fitted already , they will break.
Easy to change , not too expensive.
IF the immobiliser hasn't been touched then best to 'modify' as soon as possible.
Next birthday/Xmas present, is a 'spare' distributor.
IF the one fitted isn't new , then it WILL fail.
Best to always carry a spare in the boot.
Easy to change, wherever you are.
That's it , nothing else to let you down.
