Crack the Banjo, at the end of the fuel rail & turn the key , it should piss out Petrol, if the fuel pump working OK

It’s so easy to set the Dizzy (on a 16v) 180 deg out
Need to be TDC with all valves closed on cylinder 1.
The only, I feel you can do this is with the cam cover off

Agree with Duncan,we have started many a car by doing the Banjo bolt.and as said the timing
could be 180 out
Duncan knows his stuff with 16v.s
