Fuel pump connection - location?

Post by fanman » Fri Apr 07, 2023 3:14 pm

Anyone know where there is a connector in the fuel pump wires near the fuel tank?
I suspect a dodgy pump and want to run 12volts to it direct before taking the plunge and replacing it.
Thanks in advance.

The wiring goes back to the cut off switch in the boot.
Try there

Cool - makes life easier (hopefully!)
Do you know if the connections to the cutoff are inside the car or underneath?
Hoping to god I don't need to replace the pump :o

Have you checked the relay/fuse and tried linking the pump in the diag box :?:

Panic over. It isn't fuel related after all. I removed the fuel line at the filter and fuel pumps through fine.
Suspect it is the dissy (yet again).
I initially thought the fuel pump wasn't working as it makes absolutely NO sound when the ignition is turned on NOR when I bridge ground and FP in the diagnostic box. I have an absolutely SILENT but working pump!!
Investigations continue! Thanks Kev :-)

Never had an immobiliser on it since I owned so must be bypassed Kev although from memory when I looked years ago there was no sign of the usual bypass methods. I have spare I think so I will be trying that next.
