Airbag light
Airbag light
Morning, about a year ago I had the airbag light flashiy, 5 follwed by 2, after replacing the battery it stopped. I've sorn the probe over winter (16v) but regularly started it, the same airbag code has reappeared, so disconnected the battery and gave it a charge for a couple of hours, reconnected and now it flashes 5 then 1. Any ideas? Thanks
Re: Airbag light
Right ok thanks, would disconnecting the battery course this as it only flashed these codes when I reconnected it? Also the sunroof won't open, it trys but it sounds as if there's not enough power to open it, do you think the 2 are connected? Cheers

Re: Airbag light
Sunroof is stuck give a few thumps and will open(if you hear the motor) common problem then oil grease the rails etc
the SRS only stores one code suspect you need a new thermal fuse in the module(CODE 51) the low battery is a capacitor in the
SRS module(CODE 52) Disconnect battery for five minutes then re connect when ignition on dont start wait till the SRS (goes off)
then start car then read code again

Re: Airbag light
How much does he want for that, and if he is describing it as an ABS module, how do you know you will get the right unit?

Re: Airbag light
It's his description about it being abs that concerns me, I've messaged him this morning to confirm it's for the airbag but he hasn't replied, he's asking £39.99 + £5 postage
