Corroded Fuel Pipes 24V.

Post by humph » Wed Apr 07, 2021 8:57 pm

Have an advisory for corroded fuel pipes, specifically above the rear sub frame. How do people deal with this?

Painting if not too bad. I doubt new pipes are available. I have cut out sections of rigid line and replaced with rubber hose in the past.

Cheers.

Most of these lines are vent pipes from the tank, that run into each other, next to the filler pipe, behind the bit of plastic in the N/S wheel arch.

Cut them out & run rubber pipe. If you follow them three pipe just join together :?

Just checked the mot and it says front to back and above rear crossmember. Will check when I get the car out of storage.

Cheers Duncan.
