Ecu Set

Post by Budz59 » Mon Jun 08, 2020 9:52 pm

Hi all , does anyone have an ECU set -Temic immobiliser , barrel and key for a 1997 2.0 for sale please , I have found a set on EBay with a Temic Immobiliser but it’s for a 1995 car ,does anyone know if would this be the same , I thought the earlier cars had the bosh immobiliser ?

Thanks

As far as I know, early is early and late is late ....but there were crossovers. But a temic is a temic ... I'll stand corrected .

I remember reading somewhere that they made bosch to temic change in 06/95, so every car manufactured after that has temic.

You a correct Paul.
I have 2 1995 16v and both have the temic system, because both are cross-overs, (and both have the S3 Dizzy)

Can someone advise please , does a replacement ECU set have to be exact same part no on ECU ? or does a complete set from another 2.0 Probe of same year work ?

I think I’ve got a match set :?

You will a have to plug it in to see if it works,
If not send the ing barrel back, & it can be used on. Non Temic car, because I have the matching door locks.
