Had to pop into work this am,only a short drive (15 mins)
but after pulling up the radiator fans just wouldn't go off
Unplugged the driver side fan for now but obviously I'd like to solve the problem properly,I checked the coolant levels after work which were fine so I'm guessing it must be a faulty temperature sensor? Thanks people

I thought they were meant to stay on until the temp dropped, even if the ignition was switched off ?

I'm sure they stay on if the temp is too high.
If coolant is OK, was the temp sensor higher than normal?
If not, it could be a relay issue.
24v? If so, both relays at the front by the engine bay fuse box control the fans, so one could be sticking.

Temperature gauge hardly moved in the 15 min trip
As said the fans usually switch off with the engine
Will look into the potential relay issue first, cheers

Hey Adam.
Just to add that if it is a Sensor that's gone bad it will be the Management Temp Sensor (Plug Connector) and not the Gauge Sensor (Spade Connector) that needs to be replaced

Thanks as always gentlemen, with your help I'll get there
Where would be the best place to source the sensor?
(Short of raiding Kev's stash of spares) Cheers
