Hi all, I have an ABS fault light on my dash. Wired up the diagnostic, correctly. Turn on the ignition and the diagnostic light stays on for 2-3 seconds then goes off with no light flashing sequence.
I've attached a photo of my diagnostic setup, let me know if incorrect and that's why it's not showing a fault?

Just out of interest has anyone ever scanned a probe with an obd1 scanner and did it work?
I tried to diagnose what turned out to be a cps cut wire with an analogue circuit tester and it gave me an exhaust sensor fault.

Thanks for the replies & guidance. I managed to test it today and was getting to light to flash a sequence but not sure how to decipherer the flashing. Is the flashing supposed to stop once it flashes up the fault code, or does it loop round in a continual sequence? I've got over 3 minutes of video and the light keeps on flashing. Not able to upload the video onto the forum.

It will loop round.
Look at the 2 links I previously posted.
For details of the codes and how to read them.

Hi Micron.
Maybe a couple of stupid questions, how do you know when the sequence has finished for your fault code. I've watched my 3 minutes of video and i can't see an obvious end to the sequence before it loops around.
As for the code itself, so you say a long pulse equals 10s & a short pulse equals 1s, meaning 1 long & 1 short would indicate RH front brake anti-lock sensor indicator.
I get a very short pulse at the start, don't seem to have another like it, is that 1s, then it goes into a sequence of pulses between 1.5 seconds to 2.1 seconds, is the 1.5 second the short pulse which is 1s and the 2.1 second pulse the 10s pulse?
Code format is per the PCM fault codes i.e. long pulses = 10s and short pulses for 1s.
Codes:
11 ? RH front brake anti-lock sensor or indicator
12 ? LH front brake anti-lock sensor or indicator
13 ? RH rear brake anti-lock sensor or indicator
14 ? LH rear brake anti-lock sensor or indicator
15 ? Front and rear anti-lock sensor
22 ? Right front solenoid valve
24 ? Left front solenoid valve
26 ? Right rear solenoid valve
28 ? Left rear solenoid valve
51 ? Fail safe relay
53 ? Motor relay motor
61 ? Anti-lock brake module

Yes if you want, but I won’t look at it for a while as I’m on a Train until after 21:15
