Suspension Bolts

Post by CharlesUK » Tue Feb 25, 2025 12:58 pm

Where do I find replacement suspension bolts?! Ford and Mazda don't stock the strut-to-knuckle pinch bolt or the rear lateral arm bolt. Both have stripped/snapped and looking like I might have to use a fully threaded bolt from local fastener

Where and how can I get one made? I can get a hold of the other strut pinch bolt, but don't want to even try and remove the other lateral arm bolt in fear of that snapping as well

You need , the best penetrating oil you can afford , time , patience , hammer , good punch , spanners.
Give the oil plenty of time , overnight , to soak in , then bash away , more oil , etc.
Small movements , back and forth , it will go , eventually.
There will be a nut/bolt stockist somewhere , phone them.
Or a small machine shop, explain , they will make one.
And yes , DENSO tape in all those joins/gaps to prevent it happening again.
