Sunroof removal

Post by Chris-p » Thu Aug 19, 2021 7:03 pm

Hi everyone,
Its going in to the body shop next week to hopefully get the rust sorted on the roof, they have asked if i could remove the sunroof.

Ive taken headlining off tonight, and from whAt i can initially see, there is maybe 6 nuts to drop the whole sunroof unit? 2 at each side and 2 at back,

Am i correct or is it more involved?

Regards
Chris

Just 4 nuts ;)

There may be a shim under the sunroof

You say you have remove the roof lining :?:

You only need to take out the panel, on the sunroof panel

To do this, half open the sunroof, push your hand in between the sun roof & the liner. Push down to release the poppers, the liner can now be pulled forward & out of the car.
Now close the sunroof, you can see the 4 bolts that hold the sunroof, in to assembly. Undo these, & lift out the sunroof panel
