What is the most likely failure on the old clutch? The thrust bearing? I quizzed him and he made a few claims which where ridiculous - talked about the 'cylinder' which is on the outside if he means the slave (and i replaced it before the clutch job) Started talking about a cylinder in the gearbox - pointed out there wasn't one in relation to the clutch and asked if he meant bearing - 'thrust bearing' He liked that and said it had been replaced as part of the clutch kit and posited that the slave cylinder I installed may have been faulty?
I hate having to rely on garages to fix stuff for me!! I'd do it myself if i had the facilities, like everything else I fix in my life
