Removing Fascia

Post by Boysen IV » Sun Oct 20, 2019 12:18 pm

Hi, I've been trying to get the fascia out of my scrapper but I have no idea how and where it is fixed. If someone has done this, can they please guide me?

Thanks, Peter

Hi Peter,

When you say “fascia”, which bit of the car do you mean :?:
If you put up a Photo, I should be able to tell you :)

Kit, It's the whole big thing across the front under the windscreen. I would like it out to retrieve the heater matrix and some vents that only come out from "inside" it. I've removed the instrument panel and the passenger airbag and a heap of other stuff including all the detachable panels, glove box etc. steering wheel & lock, switch nacelle, immobiliser and the trim over the gearstick/handbrake that are underneath the fascia. I've also removed half a dozen small hex-headed screws but they haven't made much difference.

Frankly I'm baffled

The dash board :)

There are two blank panels either side, by the door hinges, this will cover bolts, that needs to be removed.
Remove the centre consul, there are two bolts either side of the of the middle, on the floor.
Take out the above & pull forward to remove.

And that little bugger of a screw in middle under small square cover right up by the windscreen...
