Rear quarter panel and new glass
Rear quarter panel and new glass
Hey,
I've got a bit of rust on the right rear quarter panel and was wondering whats the best way to go about fixing it? Getting new fenders is no problem but I cant find second hand rear panels anywhere. Are there any other panels that will fit (mx6, 626 etc)?
Also I want to replace all the glass. Is it an absolute nightmare? No idea where to begin, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Should add its a 2l 1995.
Thanks,

Re: Rear quarter panel and new glass
You won't find panels anywhere other than new old stock Ford panels which sometimes come up on Ebay. I think I've seen two in the last decade.
It's a case of repairing what you have. As for glass, front screens are available the rest will be difficult to find other than second hand through this club.

Re: Rear quarter panel and new glass
Got glass here, apart from the front Windscreen
All used, hatch glass still in place.
Your’s £50 collected from Basildon.
But why, what’s wrong with the current glass on the car
It’s a lot of work to change them,
Is it really worth it

Re: Rear quarter panel and new glass
The glass atm is going weird - Its like water is getting into it and creating cloudy bits. Its not major, but it looks unsightly and I'd be happier making it all look brand spanking new.
What do you mean by "hatch glass still in place"? Is that £50 for all the glass?
Might just try closing my eyes and clicking my heels together three times.
Thanks,

Yep,
Compete rear tail gate complete with glass
Both door glasses
Both rear quarter light glass.
Probably the only place in the UK willing to sell them

Hi Kit,
I'd be happy to take them. Could I sort out delivery and get back to you? (Im away up past the wall in the North, in Dundee.

Can I double check that all 16v and 24v body panels are interchangeable right? Also my 1995 has the same panels as 93' - 97'?
Thanks again,
