Question for the experienced/unlucky ones that have had to change an alternator. I'm about to join the team as mine has gone

for the first time ever

My question is... from memory I seem to recall that you can change it by getting at it from the top (radiator out) or from the wheel arch ( loosen A/C compressor) IF I'm correct in my thinking which one is the easiest for somebody that's not done it before

cheers

Last time mine went, I loosened the A/C compreesor and moved it out of the way and then drop the Alternator out via the bottom,
but they do say taking the Rad out is the easier way

,
I don't like to mess about with the water side unless I have to

The garage did mine but as I noted the other day I had had them do a full coolamt change a year early at the same time I am guessing they took rad out.I wouldnt have had a coolant change early otherwise.I always ask what parts they will need and how will they do the job.Though I cannot say for sure but 99 per cent they took rad out.
