Hi.
Is the Probes distributor specific to the Probe or will one from another Ford model do .
I’m finding it difficult to find one.

Hi a couple of things, what year and engine size is your Probe
Secondly, Mazda MX6 or 2.0L 626 (I could be wrong on this one) will fit, no other Ford, as they are not Ford engines. Unless yours is a GEN 1 Probe, then personally I have no idea on different engines

Have you the TOT NUMBER is it 16v/24v

Have you the TOT NUMBER 24v or 16v

Our Probe is a 1996 16 valve.
Gen 1 I think

S1 or more likely an S3
Look for the label on the side of it, or take a photo & post it on here

Even Gen1 are mazda engine, apart the 3.0 that's the only Ford engine out of all the 5 engines used in Gen1/2

You need to find that TOT number or it is all guesswork , different numbers cannot be used.
