Hey guys,
I'm going to pull a beauty of a 97' engine and gearbox and put it into a beauty shell of a 95. Is it a case of disconnect everything, swap, connect everything, woophee? The 95 is the old immobilizer whereas the 97 is the newer one - I'll bypass the old immobilizer but could that cause any problems?
Thanks again for all your help.
Thanks,
swapping a 1997 engine into a 1995

Oil pressure sender
Need to change over the IM , if a 16v there’s differences in the wiring/plugs
When I swapped a early 24v into a late car there was a plug, left over around the gearbox area.
But the car ran OK

Sorry I should have been clearer, it's a 2l to 2l. Same engine, just the 97 is so smooth but its body is rusted as heck.
The main thing was to check any immobiliser problems/do I have to bring the ECU with it?

The 97 will have a temic matched ECU , but you won’t need that. Save it as a set with the ing barrel & sell it on.
Use your existing Dizzy/IM / wiring
No need to remove you ECU
