Cheers Mojo. Coolant and oil were topped up yesterday. Me and Paul Seymore also changed alternator belt as it had snapped.

I have OBD2 but believe these dont work on older cars. Is there a obd1 socket on it or is it a pedal sequence set up

next to the battery is the diagnostic box, need a jumper wire and a 12v LED, since no oracle, PM me your email address if you have one, I can attach a write on how to read your codes

Based on experience not tech knowledge change of coolant or topping up first port of call for idle changes.Take both rad caps off put blowers on full top up coolant slowly from rear rad cap until coolant overflows front expansion chamber ie front rad cap.gently squeeze pipe from rear rad cap and run to hot.Likely airblock had more times than hot dinners.Simple fix plus make sure coolant not mixed ie red versus blue as i think you had help techy done right but can take a couple of attempts to settle down.No offense taken if I am wrong. But I had problem with coolant recently and it appears it can take a while to get airlocks out.
As I say if I am wrong please edit or delete my post but going from memory.

Oops cannot see car details on android phone.
Cannot see writing most of the time hence numerous misspells.
At least you made me laugh.

Got some wire just waitin for the LEDs to come so i can check codes. The temp did go above normal the night the alternator belt snapped so the waterpump wouldnt have been working. The pipe that comes off the water pump and the top hose off the rad are both a strange shape like they are permanently squeezed.
Should I drain the coolant system and refill or is there a way to bleed the system of air without loosing all the coolant?
