Early 24v issues

Any idea's, engine starts up with revs at 2000, and when it get up to temp, the revs start hunting. Water levels OK, but water line to iac are cold? Rest are hot
Other issue, timing looks out 14 degs?

Any pointers

Re: Air bag 5 2 code

I don't believe that another Ford one will fit, I would say that a MX6 would, but I'm not 100% on that. As for another Mazda, I think the closed would be a mx5???? What about the Mazda 626, it’s built on the same ‘platform’ as the Probe  Kit Yes, I don't see why not, I guess it's just finding...

Re: Distributor

Hi. Is the Probes distributor specific to the Probe or will one from another Ford model do . I’m finding it difficult to find one. Conrad Hi a couple of things, what year and engine size is your Probe Secondly, Mazda MX6 or 2.0L 626 (I could be wrong on this one) will fit, no other Ford, as they ar...

Re: Couple of issues

With the suggestions for members and Paul (brookie66J) coming round this morning to help. Problem seemed to be on the passenger side. But first we check the earth points in the engine bay, removing them and cleaning before putting back on. Still no joy, so of with the wheels, inner linings then the ...

You really need to narrow the search down by isolating blocks of circuit .
Look at that wiring diagram book , section 32 , you will see various plugs that allow you to do this.
Cheer's John, I'll get my book out

Malcolm if you have a meter, you could take a battery voltage reading before doing anything, then take another once you turn on the lights or indicator to see if there is any significant changes, pointing towards a short?
Don't have a meter, will have to make a purchase
