im no techy,but what ive read before,TPS may need slight adjustment or maybe,or as you said the temperature sensor (not sender) playing up :)

i remember reading a old post about setting up the throttle position sensor (tps) if the fan kicks in when ignition is on,doesn't that mean the tps needs adjustment ?
that doesnt explain the rev counter tho

i will soon be getting my timing covers from rockautos,im goung to have a go at puting them on myself but i need a bit of advice on a couple of things. will i need to take off the waterpump pulley to get the cover off ? and when ive used a breakerbar on the crankshaft bolt and got that out,will the ...

ive since been to the garage and they cant be sure till they get the timing belt covers off,so im in the process of getting the parts before i take it back,(timing belt kit/spring (inc bearings(thanks malc) and waterpump but i need the timing belt covers as well,just incase,so ive got all possible p...

i had my doubts on the oil pump as never heard of one failing before,and the pressure is fine,so,cheers i can rule that one out. i did think about the cambelt bearings,but seems a bit weird as i had cambelt kit done 3 years ago and only done 15 thou miles but i guess its possible,if they didnt fit t...

hi all,been a while since ive been on :) ive got a rather nasty noise coming from the front of my engine 95 16v 2.0 only happens when its warmed up tho,a loud tapping or clacking sound (not injectors or valve train) pretty sure its the waterpump,but could be oilpump,its coming from behind the timing...

yes ive done this,first disconnect battery for 10 minutes then drop glove box dowm,remove the airvent plastic pipe,and find the orange connector,(grey foam around wires and connector) disconnect it and put a 1..2 ohm resistor on the two terminals inside orange plug,or chop wire and fix it on,remembe...
