Re: Couple of issues
Well done, really good news and a 'simple' remedy , just shows how important these earth connections are.

Re: Couple of issues
That is the only helpful clue, a wire or circuit on those two switch positions is 'stopping' the engine. So, it is either preventing a vital feedback from the running engine getting back into the ECU , or it is 'higher up the chain' and taking the ECU relay out directly ? And the headlamp isn't work...

Re: Couple of issues
I have been looking at those circuits and to try and NOT guess at what is taking the engine out is...................... Instinct keeps saying "It's the engine change to blame" , ie something has been damaged on the wiring loom, somewhere. A lot of very careful visual examination seems a good start....

Re: Couple of issues
You really need to narrow the search down by isolating blocks of circuit .
Look at that wiring diagram book , section 32 , you will see various plugs that allow you to do this.

Re: Couple of issues
As for lights, switch drives relay, relay feeds motors.
If the relay is working then I would suspect broken wire or poor earth somewhere.
Clutch ?
You must have had a problem before , new master cylinder fitted , job for Janice in the morning I think while you watch what is happening !

Re: Lazer brakes
Well done Malcolm. I was going to mention replacing all the brake caliper bolts for stainless , especially those on the rear calipers. Rounded heads are a real pain , best avoided. Denso tape wound round the shaft on the rear calipers where it enters the ' lip seal ' in the caliper body helps too. T...

Re: 2007 radio fault
First problem. Removing the radio , get the radio out and you will see EXACTLY the type of radio you will need to replace it. Different radios, have different sockets !!!! Second problem. Only a Probe aerial has the right connectors and unless you know what you are doing..............good luck. Are ...

Re: 2007 radio fault
Unfortunately, that confirms what I have noticed , it is the aerial that kills a really good radio. It will be the aerial control circuit component failure that needs repairing , the radio side will be fine. Finding a gifted amateur ,or professional to repair it.......................good luck. Make...

Re: 2007 radio fault
Question.
Were you having any problems with the aerial either not fully retracting or extending , before this occurred ?
