Re: About Diagnostics
No reader has ever worked. By bridging (from memory) ten and gnd and putting an led to ten and fen (or something like that) turn the ignition on and the led will pulse long and short flashes. Translate these flashes to the code list and Dave's your cousin. Unless the ECU goes blegh because the fault...

Re: interior lights update
The boot and bonnet lighting are switched by micro switches in the latch. They switch a plain earth, which also arms and triggers the factory alarm. The CPU controls the interior light in a different way. The earth and line circuit for the light is within the CPU and switched via transistors and cap...

Re: Mx6 door glass seals for probes?
I thought some images of later ones I saw looked like frameless doors? I do occasionally look for images of cars with frameless doors and I just get a page full of shower door fittings
Honestly there must be a way around the crusty door seal conundrum, even if it isn't 'as factory'

Mx6 door glass seals for probes?
I'm wondering due to the Front door glass drip strip (part of the door seal underneath the roof gutter) bubbling and rusting under the rubber, having been sent replacements that are no better than the ones on the car, whether the later MX6 ones are a close fit? Its a real bug bear of mine seeing bub...

Re: HELP
After re reading, change the regulator first and check the state of play. The hoses will go hard when the engines hot, so I'm not sure what they're saying there. I doubt it's the dizzy, it can't differentiate between cylinders. Blowby is normal on worn engines at static pressure. White smoke is over...

Re: HELP
From this read I would say the head or gasket has failed between 2.and 3. Source a head gasket, inspect your head and try to get it crack tested off of the engine, or just source another head, if your block is ok. The regulator is quite easy to replace.

Re: 24v over fueling
Does anyone have a pic of the factory original O2 sensors?
I've found 3(!) but one has a fat slotted shield on the gas end and two have a smaller ends with punched holes.
I don't want to reuse buggered sensors

Re: 24v over fueling
I'd be interested in the outcome, especially the over fuelling bit. Mine has always smelt rich, but this year is the first year it actually failed on CO. Last year it was high lambda, yet we got it down by shoving a rag in one of the tailpipes!
