Stretch bolts

Hi all, just wanted to gather some opinions on the use of head stretch bolts. I've just rebuilt the heads on my 2.5 probe as some of you know, only to find the piston rings need doing. To say I'm frustrated as I only just had the heads off would be an understatement but still...every day's a school ...

Re: White smoke

Just a bit of an update...smoke is now clearly blue. Having done about 300 miles everything from the head rebuild has burnt off. Smoke definitely not improving. Gone through about a litre and a half of oil in that time. So it's burning quite a lot. Have ordered a pcv valve in case but seems like it'...

It's a bit inconsistent and I can't seem to get it to smoke much while sat on my drive. Seems to happen more after a str...

Re: White smoke

Well that's not good news. Assuming that requires a bottom end strip to rectify.

White smoke

Hi all, new ish member. Bought a 24v probe about 2 months ago, and love the car. It came with loads of spares and thought I'd put them to use. Had some white smoke under acceleration and at start up when I bought it, have since rebuilt the heads including valve stem seals, head gaskets etc. full flu...
