With a temic normal operation is it will start, then check the key, if the key check fails the engine shuts down.
Crank position sensor I a probable cause. Disconnect the plug by the crank pulley, clean it and reconnect. Then try starting it.
Checking the codes would be a good starting point.

Ethanol attracts water, this is the big problem, thought our plastic tanks will be fine. The fact ethanol combines with water is one way to remove it, add water and float off the water ethanol mix, practice for motorbikes, but not cars. Right hand side looking from the front, bolted to the rear head. Round, about 3inches across, an electrical connector, a vacuum line and a coolant hose connected to it.

There is also a solenoid involved. Usual problems with them, broken nipple or brittle pipe work. The valve itself can jam up with carbon.

The valve and sensor are on the back of the engine on the left side, actually the cylinder head, so at the top.

Just checked the mot and it says front to back and above rear crossmember. Will check when I get the car out of storage.

Corroded Fuel Pipes 24V.
Have an advisory for corroded fuel pipes, specifically above the rear sub frame. How do people deal with this?
Painting if not too bad. I doubt new pipes are available. I have cut out sections of rigid line and replaced with rubber hose in the past.
