1.the 2 worlds of charlie f about soldiers starring real soldiers injured and some actors based on stage play.
2.white squall by ridley scott true story starring jeff bridges about shipwreck.
Both inspirational.
If anyone seen and liked 0can you recommend something similiar to watch on my b day this weekend.

Leaves you feeling good at the end BUT worth watching/ listening far beyond the end to all the credits, which roll on and on.

I looked it up and I did see it and have a vague recollection.John Cusack very underated as an actor.Remembered Ashes with Ray Winstone which I could watch again,The Liability with Tim Roth,Things to do in Denver when you are dead and the Winner with Vincent D'onofrio.

I suppose it depends on how you want to 'feel' at the end of watching a film but for ' a quiet night ' , "The mirror has two faces" . or The bridges of Madison County " won't leave you with nightmares.

I suppose I like a rollercoaster of emotions...black humour, someone I like in it dying, and engrossing keeps you wondering whats going to happen next and an ending that makes you think.True stories.Sully was really good too.
I like armageddon films, shipwreck films like the perfect storm.but I watched a really good lifeboat rescue film recently I think with casey affleck.Plus I liked hacksaw ridge as was so inspiring.
Back in the day thundeebolt and lightfoot was a classic.
I watched buried and that ending was one of the best I saw.
Not really into light watching as I need something to switch my head off.
Not normally horror but I do like zombie films and would you rather was very very thought provoking.
I liked deepwater horizon too.
I dont think we have the same taste but you have inspired me to come up with some ideas.thanks

Been trying to ascertain your tastes and return the favour.Best I can come up with is The Way with Martin Sheen and A walk in the woods Robert Redford and Nick Nolte.ironically similiar films but both worth a watch especially considering acting prowess of Sheen and been a fan of Nolte since Rich Man Poor Man.
