Rear anti roll bar d bush help

Post by harkws » Thu Jul 26, 2018 4:34 pm

I have been advised that i need rear antibroll bar d bushes for my mot, however, nobody seems to list them for the probe.

Will mazda 626 ones fit at all or can anyone recommend ones that will fit with a part number that a motor factors can use to order them

Many thanks in advance

Check out Rockauto, in the states, they supply all sort of parts for a Probe, that you can’t find in the UK

NO, the 626 ones from e-bay will not fit.
BUT, if you have someone to make you 1cm extensions that can be welded into the tubes then YES they can be used.

Just remembered, your real problem will be getting that long bolt out that goes through both the rear tie bars without damaging it.

Must read more carefully ,my mistake , I was describing rear trailing arms , not roll bar bushes.
Ignore everything I wrote.
I have a complete spare rear roll bar too, if you get stuck.

Are you absolutely sure it is bushes you need ?
If you can, remove the complete anti-roll bar , then move the bushes along the bar .
Is it the bar that has rusted and 'waisted, ' leaving the bush looking big in the hole ?

You can remove everything swaybar and drop links and it will past the mot, if it's not there it can fail,

Did you manage to get this done?

I bought a couple of these last month as mine also needed doing. I've managed to break free the bolts underneath that face the ground, but the ones that are facing towards the front of the car I couldn't get too as I only had a socket set.

Just got my spanner set back so going to give it another go this weekend.

Good fun those bolts - I got three out of the 4 out and the nut on the last one was a complete pain - it got cut and chiseled off in the end.
