Main Beam

Post by Martin740 » Sat Sep 14, 2019 7:43 am

Hello owned my Probe for about 18 months and not had any major problems, callipers sticking etc. I now have a main beam that is on all the time, I’ve not looked at it yet but wondered if I should start looking at the inside stalk or under the bonnet first.
I’ve also got a red brakes warning light that’s been on for a while, linings were ok and pulls up well so again not too worried apart from the mot is out in a few days.
Any clues would be appreciated.
Thanks
Martin

Check the brake fluid level as if slightly low will give
The warning light
Check the bulb connectors on the head lights as may
Be burning out

Brake light prob just fluid, first of all make sure fluid bottle is topped right up to the top!
Rule out easy bit first!

Main beam could be dodgy earth, dodgy connector on bulb, or stalk

Hope to get the mot done this week.

Slick, has the trim made out of Fibreglass & sells them to full members.
