Steering wheel click

Anyone come across this before. Im getting a mechanical click from behind the steering wheel when turning left or right. Normally clicks about 3 times.
Cv joints good
Strut mounts good
Airbag good
Cruise control good
Noise is 100% behind steering wheel
Any input greatly appreciated

Could be the Strut top bearing, they are only thin pieces of plastic the grease between them and when they dry out its makes a clicking noise when turning the wheel, (my daily runner does it) I`ve got the bearing`s but not had time to change them

Thanks for the reply. Click definately behind he seering wheel. Strut bearings are new.

Check you haven't got a broken spring .

I replaced the struts. I think I'll take the steering cowling off to see if anything obvious.
