So, with the crank shaft aligned at TDC, cylinder 1 at the top of it's travel. Cam pully's not aligned
So why can't I post Photos
What the cause
Car died, on a fast road, needing the RAC to recovery the vehicle.

Belt has slipped a tooth or two - prob a weak or broken tensioner spring>

Belt looks worn , with rounded teeth.
Bet it is not a Jap Mazda.one.
How many miles or years old.

Like the AUX belts, it was Gates belt, made in the UK!
