Hi all,
Changing nearside drive shaft, I have a replacement from J&R on eBay. I can’t get it back into the gearbox. When I take the circlip off the end its slides in effortlessly. But no matter how much I try I don’t think the clip lets is sit properly. I have attached a photo below of the join.

Update: I have put the other end back into the wheel hub and attached the tie rods. It’s all fine on that end but the gearbox side is still like this, is it correctly seated? I I thought it might have gone in further

Compare the two, side by side.
IF they are identical , they MUST fit the same way , nothing else will do.

Finally managed to beat it in, took shaking it around at the joint whilst friend hit from outer end with both hands. Even then still very tight!
