Radio code input....

Post by Wolfie » Thu Jan 25, 2024 4:23 pm

So fitted a new distributor and did the immobiliser bypass today....all working OK..
Also disconnected battery and charged up..
After reconnecting went to put the radio code in and the code option comes up but not flashing to allow me to put code in any thoughts on how to get round it...

Its as though it's locked out.

Cheers
Paul.

Is it a standard ford radio?
what does it actually show?
can you just push number 1 until you get to the required number, then number 2 etc?

Origional Ford radio...
Power on comes up with car reg... Push select button..
Code option comes up with 4 dashes... They should be flashing to allow code entry but they are solid and won't let me enter code...

Is it one with the removable controls, if so take it out and clean contacts with soft cloth, try again.

Have you tried to put the numbers in, even though it’s not flashing?

How about disconnecting the power again and starting afresh?
