Lost drive
Re: Lost drive
For that to happen it must have been slipping right from the time of fitting.
Did you ever feel it not providing any engine braking on the over-run , or poor acceleration ?

Re: Lost drive
There was a lot of ‘black fluffy’ stuff, trapped in the fingers of the clutch cover, & in the bell housing.

Re: Lost drive
So, near all back together, not rushing it.
Clutch back on
Gearbox ‘remated will the engine’,
Engine Mounts & cross members back on.
Battery tray, wiring, Clutch slave cylinder, CAI all back
N/s CV, Strut, splash shield back on.
This just leaves the O/s ‘ under the the wing items’.
Found it was a lot easier to use the engine hoist to suspend the gearbox, than, putting on a trolley Jack to rise it into position.
So, should be running by midday

Re: Lost drive
So , what explains the rapid wear-away on the engine side of the clutch plate ?
Was it a 'cheap' clutch plate ?
Or 'something ' restricting the movement of the plates ?
If you don't know , why won't it happen again ?
