Re: Air Bag Blue Box :- Thermal Fuse
The Thermal Fuse is 167 deg C fuse available from Ebay, I had a quick look, and the person who is mentioned in the write up is there, but he seems to sell them singularly, some of the others give more options.
I'm also looking at changing the capacitors, as they can also suffer over time, but it's just one of those things, that I haven't got round to as yet!

Could you just by,pass the air bag module (ie) resistor on the clock spring to immobilise
the front air bags (as if you had after market steering wheel)
Just a thought

Re: Air Bag Blue Box :- Thermal Fuse
all depends on what the code is, as a blown thermal fuse would still show up.

Re: Air Bag Blue Box :- Thermal Fuse
I have got a code 51 intermittent short to earth. I have checked the relevant contacts on the 2 plugs of the air bag diagnostic monitor (blue box) and they are all open circuit as they should be. The book then tells me to go to OASIS to get descriptions of wiring concern locations. It appears that OASIS has been superseded by OTIS for which they want about £2.5k per annum. I don't expect they will have information for the Probe anyway. Can anyone tell me where I should be looking for wiring problems please?
Can I have an eBay link for those thermal fuses please?
Thanks

What happens if I don't plug the connections into the blue box?
