I would be grateful if you have any suggestions to revive my M registered 24V Probe residing in Nottinghamshire.
The MOT is due next month
The bonnet catch does not hold the bonnet down and is on the safety mechanism. A local garage says it needs a new mechanism (not available from a Ford dealer)
A Flash Code of 13 is showing on the dash when driving
Any help, advise or suggestions would be extremely welcome
Cheers

Re: Bonnet and Flash Code
if you need a replacement catch, I'm sure someone will have one from a breaker, try a post in wanted
As for code 13, where is it showing on the dash, which light?

Re: Bonnet and Flash Code
Check the spring on your bonnet catch, it may be broken, mine was and catch wouldn't close, have good look because if it was like mine covered in grease it's hard to see that it's snapped
It's easy to remove the whole of the catch to change to spring if it has snapped, couple on 10m bolts and the alarm wire connection

Code 13 = airbag or front crash sensor circuit, short circuit to earth -- wiring, airbags, spiral cable, front crash sensors/safing sensor
Re: Bonnet and Flash Code
Hi all,
Flash Code 13
I had flash code 51 which failed the MOT. I had the thermal fuse replaced and plugged the connectors in (but did not reattach unit to the chassis).
I now have flash code 13 which I assume caused the fuse to blow. One of the connectors under the driver's seat has become disattached from it and the harness loom attached to it has kinks in it but there is no visible damage. Possibly caused by the seat being moved back and trapping the loom?
Have you traced the fault to a particular circuit? Or how do I go about it without a proper wiring diagram? Or any other advice would be welcome.
