Vinyl wrap

Post by Dakota » Fri Sep 11, 2020 2:55 pm

So as I'm a crazy person and don't fancy a standard looking car I have had another crazy idea to wrap the car in the future . So does anyone know anyone who can do this plus a rough estimate of cost . I know it won't be to everyones taste but by the time wheels go on , and other mad idea parts I think my idea will look ace

Not sure on cost, but I believe it tends to be cheaper than a respray.

I would want to see examples of a company’s work in the metal before committing to it.

I know someone who's had his wrapped, I believe it was £1500. Did look good though. 8-)

Seen a few vehicles wrapped and looks ace but what I have in mind might involve a bit more . Was thinking of maybe air brushing or find a graffiti artist or 2 at the uni ok in the city after a project , paint supplied I'm not looking for a show winner. Now for something completely different 😂😂

Have you thought about only wrapping parts of the car, rather than the whole thing, it might help to keep the costs down? I guess it depends on how good the rest of the paintwork is like?

Well one bit of welding was done so a six inch square on rear of a cill is blacked and front bumper was silver hence the sticker bombing on it which people seem to like . One mirror casing has worn through to undercoat and a couple of car park dinks . In truth the paint work would mop up well but spent many years going to shows and spending 2 days cleaning before hand was going for a real turn head custom look a proper one off .

I keep thinking about the rat look, but then again my MX6 is halfway there already.

Is it do you have any pics ?. I was thinking if I rat looked it had it in my head including using old metal road signs inside and a pair of aero seats and harness and cage , remove the back seats and carpets . Love the raw rat look but can I do it . 😂😂
