Cut them off with a grinder :o

Quick & easy way

Kit
Was thinking that but can't get in because of the way the brackets are on the down pipe as who ever did it last in sure has but the nuts in the wrong side .

I'm not bloody giving in , breaker bar and skinny grinding discs on the shopping list on pay day I will just have to wait another couple of weeks . So new plan get on the ramps and Jack up one side higher leaving ramps just in case and axle stand it out and if I can't get the nuts to move brute force and a breaker bar it's going to be tank girl style and cut the w@@ker off and get on the push iron if I run out of time .
😂

Never tried these, they seem very thin so I would be wary of them breaking. Not sure if they are more intended for cutting sheet metal based on the description.

Yes good point I didn't think about the sheet steel . My thinking was thinner so less chance of damaging down pipe .

Power bar and grinder cutting discs ordered , fingers crossed they turn up for the weekend . If I cant undo it I'm going to cut it off in sections . Got to get this job done winters coming and I need to get full front brake parts including master cylinder and braided front hoses ready and for future improvements and upgrades .

This type of disc will cut through any suitable material of any thickness, just don't twist the grinder whilst in the cut. They are made with a reinforced rubberised bond to give them high flexibility and in all the years I've used them, I've never known one shatter in sensible hands. Just be sure to use the guard and goggles and you'll be fine.

As before, the thinner the better but , however the cut starts that is how you carry on, NO twisting allowed.
And gently, no sudden movements or pressing while you're cutting.

I use 115mm thin cutting discs all the time, with 18v battery grinder, a very versatile tool :)
Use it like a Stanley knife, but will also get through 6mm steel

Useful feedback there - thank you
