24V Ignition Timing

Post by Boysen IV » Thu Jul 30, 2020 5:30 pm

Hello everyone,

I would like to check the ignition timing on my car. I've read the "Fine Tuning" article in the Oracle and that says it should be 10˚ before TDC. From memory of doing this (or rather, having it done for me) over 10 years ago (!) I think that the engine has to be running at 1500 rpm. Is that correct?

The other question is where do I connect the trigger for the probe light?

The article then goes on to suggest other things, which I will add to the list.

Thanks,

Peter
