Hi folks, I'm finally getting underway with 95 Teal 24v I picked up off of EBay in November. Tonight I stripped the entire interior out ready for the work to commence and noticed that there appears to be slight water ingress on both front wheel arches more toward the wing than the bulk head. First thoughts is the windscreen as its delaminated, the seals are looking tired too but if there are sunroof drains in the A pillars or near there then a blockage could be to blame too.
Anyone know of any common areas up front for water ingress or have any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
Cabin water leak
Re: Cabin water leak
I think you will need to take the front wings off to see the true extent of the 'problem' (rust).
And yes, a flexible wire back up the drain line before putting compressed air on to really clear it out.

The sun roof tray, has four drain pipes down the ‘A’ & ‘C’ pillar’s
These are accessible, by removing the roof lining & Pillar moulding,
The tubes are able to be pulled off the sunroof tray to be cleaned

Re: Cabin water leak
When you say rust....are we talking around the screen or under the wings on cars frame?
Thanks for info on the sunroof drains....its been stood for 6 months so could be full of crud in them

Yes, under the wings at the top, impossible to see, or get to, with the wings on.
Caused by water where it should not be.

Re: Cabin water leak
D'oh....I hope its not rust, its a low milage (54,000) clean example....the only corrosion is sunroof and inner rear arch (which im sorting prior to paint) Inside the sills etc is like new. I guess I'll need to strip the wings, wipers and scuttle for a good look.
