Spoke to Dave this afternoon,
I now seem to understand his issues

Yes, the car does have a Temic system, but the 'kit I sent him , - from a 97 car, is not the same as the one installed in his car, the plugs on the ECU are different :o
I asked him to check the VIN plate, to establish the build date.
Then, he needs to source a Temic kit, (inc the correct ECU). From 94 car

Is there anyway the Temic could be by-passed, or re-programmed :?:
Could someone with the BiG Workshop Manuals look in to It for Dave

Ta

Kit

There are two different ecu’s fitted to the Temic cars. 97 cars have a different model ecu to 95 and 96 car.

If you can get an immobiliser code from Fords for your car and 2 new keys, it is possible to program the new keys. It took me about 15 attempts. The only problem is Fords don’t really want to know and have probably destroyed the information.

Only option is to get an ecu, Temic box, the key or just the chip and the coil part from around the ignition barrel from a same model year car. If you do, get a cloned key of the new one when it is working.

https://www.ecudecode.co.uk. Claim to do it, but I suspect it won’t be cheap.
