You really, really, need to find out exactly where that water is coming out.
The 'good' thing ,is it does not appear to be a head gasket problem.

I got underneath today and it running down the crankcase and dripping off at the bottom of the crankshaft pulley.
I don’t see any pipes above that, it’s not leaking around the pressure release cap so I could it be leaking from the block or will it be the water pump?
I don’t think I’ll see any more without taking the cam belt covers off.

It’s in the garage today for cambelt and water pump, it was the pump leaking but there were a couple of other things.
The cam timing was out by two teeth and the crank pulley damper had failed and was slipping. That must be what the smell was.

I found a new damper on eBay but up to 10 days delivery because it gets bought in from Poland. Does anyone know where I can get one in the uk? Even it’s a usable used part at least the garage can get it back together.

Thanks
Kevin

Some of the parts I’ve seen listed say they fit the 2.5 and the 2.0

Does anyone know for certain if they are the same or not?

My father-in-law has a wonderful little smoke machine that pumps smoke into things like cooling systems and exhausts etc in order to identify leaks.

If you can find / improvise one it might be worth a try while you've got it empty. Much easier to see smoke than water!!
