10-40w or 10-30w fully synthetic for the 24v. Magnatec wasn't recommended back in the past.
Mobil 1 was recommended but that isn't cheap. I'd go for decent brand stuff that you have heard of.

The oil question is one I was going to ask. I seem to only be able to find semi synthetic in 10/40 or 10/30. Only motor cycle oil seems to come in those grades fully synthetic. Vehicle handbook suggests 5/30 so I'm truly confused now

I always use 5w30 Fully Synthetic on all my 24v`s
and buy Ford 5w30 from NCC when its on offer,
I buy in bulk, so always have it in stock, and I change to oil every 3000 miles or yearly
Agree definitely change every 3000 miles.
