Probe 16V MAF Sensor

I have tried to buy a a MAF Sensor for my 1995 Probe, The sensor fitted to my car is of the Hot Wire type which has a resistor in the air flow tunnel. The MAF Sensor I have purchased from EBAY which is supposed to be compatible is different since it incorporates a Circuit Board sensor with no resistor or hot wire and will not function when fitted. Has anyone ever come across this problem and if so is there a solution or an upgrade which will ensure the circuit board sensor will function correctly when fitted. Many thanks
